Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at SC Johnson. As a key member of our Continuous Improvement team, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and reducing losses in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced waste.
  • Design, configure, and implement process control solutions using PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and automation issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, electrical circuit schematics, and device configuration files.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national codes and regulations.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • College diploma with a relevant specialization (trade license and/or technologist and/or professional qualification)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming and automation technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering design, specifically with control panels and PLC logic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
