Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at SC Johnson. As a key member of our Continuous Improvement team, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and improving efficiency across our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements, resulting in reduced losses and optimized maintenance stoppages.
  • Design, configure, and implement process control solutions using PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and upgrade industrial automation and control systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and device configuration files.
  • Work closely with the engineering group to design and implement capital projects, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and national codes.
  • Analyze data from SAP, Redzone, and data acquisition systems to inform planned maintenance programs and optimize equipment performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
  • College diploma with a relevant specialization (trade license and/or technologist and/or professional qualification)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming and experience with industrial automation and control systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the packaged goods industry
