Project Engineer Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Resolute Forest Products Inc. in Northwestern Ontario. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects and maintenance activities at our sawmills in Thunder Bay, Atikokan, and Ignace.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Plan and coordinate assigned projects and maintenance activities, schedule manpower, and organize shutdowns and other major tasks
* Maintain liaison between operations, engineering, and maintenance departments
* Supervise job construction sites and analyze jobs in the field
* Verify the availability of project parts, materials, and special tools required for execution
* Estimate the cost of project labor and materials
* Research information for new project work and utilize feedback to improve job plans

**Requirements:**

* Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineer degree
* 5+ years' experience in related industrial manufacturing sector
* Advanced computer skills, including Autocad, MS Word, and Excel
* In-depth knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and CMMS
