Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Canamera Refrigerated Transport Inc. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of transportation operations and logistics.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our daily operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure our transportation operations are meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to optimize our daily operations, including scheduling, routing, and resource allocation.
- Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Anticipate and prepare for changes to schedules, policies, and procedures, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.
- Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Provide regular reports to senior management on key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Recruit and Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of transportation professionals, including recruiting, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our transportation operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Arrange for Shipping Documentation and Tracking: Ensure all necessary shipping documentation is completed accurately and on time, and that goods are tracked and traced throughout the transportation process.
- Ensure Transport Compliance with Regulations: Ensure our transportation operations comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards.
- Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring consistency and quality across our operations.
- Negotiate for Services and Rates: Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure the best possible rates and services for our transportation needs.
- Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Oversee Transportation Service Rates and Revenue: Monitor and manage transportation service rates and revenue, ensuring optimal pricing and revenue streams.
- 3-4 Years of Experience: You have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong Leadership Skills: You possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of transportation professionals.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: You are flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing circumstances.
