Dimensions

This role will report to the Surface Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor.

Purpose
  • Adhere to safety and sustainability protocols.
  • Take responsibility for personal health and safety.
  • Identify and report unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Propose improvements for safety measures.
  • Learn and comply with safety regulations and procedures to ensure safe job performance.
Essential Duties
  • Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and conduct predictive and preventive maintenance on surface instrumentation equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with OHSA, Corporate and PGM Environmental Regulations, as well as Safety and Sustainability Standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet organizational objectives both within and across departments.
  • Exhibit high motivation, organizational skills, and sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Provide personal tools necessary for the role.

  • Basic computer literacy is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize electrical schematics while working independently and collaborating with other trades.
  • Assistance in other work areas may be required.
Training & Experience
  • Certification as an Instrumentation Technician is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant trade experience.
  • Experience in the Mining or Manufacturing sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows Software, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
Working Conditions
  • This position is based at our Dome site, part of Newmont's Porcupine Mine.
  • The role involves a 4x3 work schedule, necessitating proximity to the mine site.
