About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at FLSmidth Ltd. as a Maintenance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts, as well as set up and adjust production machinery.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, and verify dimensions of parts and products using precision measuring instruments.
  • Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers, and similar installations using refractory or acid-resistant bricks, refractory concretes, plastic refractories, and other materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
