Visionpool Business Services Inc is seeking a Network Infrastructure Specialist who will play a crucial role in the operational management and execution of the LAN/WAN framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee, implement, troubleshoot, and document the enterprise network to ensure its seamless and efficient operation, complete with detailed documentation.
  2. Formulate strategic plans for the evolution of network devices, aligning with both current and future business requirements and industry standards.
  3. Deliver expert-level technical support, administration, and engineering for all network devices to ensure their peak performance.
  4. Monitor and enhance network performance, promptly diagnosing and resolving any system issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
  5. Manage network disaster recovery protocols, including meticulous planning, execution, maintenance, and thorough testing.
  6. Engage with corporate and field personnel, addressing technology concerns swiftly and escalating complex issues as necessary.
  7. Implement updates to network equipment in accordance with established company procedures to ensure ongoing security and functionality.
  8. Maintain system integrity through effective change control, problem management processes, and consistent communication with internal stakeholders.
  9. Stay updated on the latest networking technologies, certifications, and industry trends to maintain a high level of expertise and adaptability.
  10. Contribute to departmental objectives by organizing and overseeing work processes and promoting effective teamwork.
  11. Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures in the execution of role responsibilities.
  12. Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights and expertise to drive collective success.
  13. Collaborate across various teams to develop scalable and adaptable network solutions.
  14. Represent the Digital Technology & Security department with a commitment to the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 5 years of recent, hands-on experience in network administration, analysis, and design/architecture.
  2. Proven expertise in architecting Layer 3 Spine and Leaf data center networks utilizing VXLAN with BGP EVPN.
  3. Deep understanding of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
  4. Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco's suite of networking equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN Controllers, and WAPs.
  5. Expertise in managing next-generation firewalls, with comprehensive knowledge of Fortinet's entire suite of security solutions.
  6. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure in the context of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  7. Additional expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  8. Skilled in the configuration and management of load balancers.
  9. A thorough understanding and implementation of network security best practices.
  10. A proven track record in deploying network technologies within organizational technology projects.
  11. Excellent collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary project teams.
  12. A comprehensive understanding of enterprise-level networks and the integration of on-premises and cloud environments.
  13. Additional experience with LTE and satellite communication technologies.
  14. Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and Change Management processes.
  15. Relevant job experience in North America.
