Youth Safety Instructor Opportunities

Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology is looking for dedicated Instructors to facilitate Babysitting Training and Home Alone courses within our Northern Training Division. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and listening abilities, demonstrate adaptability, and exhibit punctuality and patience.

Reporting to the Manager of Community and Business Development, the selected candidate will assist course participants in acquiring the essential skills and knowledge necessary to prevent injuries and effectively manage common scenarios that may occur while supervising children. The instructor will equip youth participants with the vital skills and understanding needed to ensure safety and responsibility when left home alone for brief periods.

Qualifications:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent;
- Preferred: Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field;
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience supervising youth in group learning settings;
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification.
