Position Overview:
As the Manager of Supply Chain Management for Canadian Downstream Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all procurement activities that are business-facing for our Canadian Downstream assets. This position is responsible for ensuring effective sourcing and contracting of labor, materials, and equipment essential for daily operations, maintenance, small projects, and turnarounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in strategic planning, sourcing, contracting, and materials requirement planning to align with the needs of team members and business objectives.
  • Lead asset teams consisting of 8-10 individuals in identifying and mitigating risks to minimize adverse impacts while fostering opportunities and innovation.
  • Enhance business performance through effective leadership, promoting organizational health, accountability, and team engagement.
  • Utilize collaboration and forward-thinking skills to navigate changing dynamics and anticipate evolving demands.
  • Communicate effectively, ensuring corporate requirements are clearly conveyed while being sensitive to customer needs.
  • Mentor team members in various departmental initiatives, balancing workload, meeting tight deadlines, and achieving challenging targets.

Candidate Profile:

  • Must possess legal eligibility to work in Canada.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., SCMP, CPSM) are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, with a successful track record in managing procurement activities and supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, excellent risk management capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of procurement processes and supply chain dynamics.
  • A strategic planner with the ability to drive performance and innovation, an excellent communicator, and a proactive problem-solver.
