Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Geriatric Assessment

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Geriatric Assessment team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing assessment and intervention services to older adults and seniors affected by emotional, psychological, and physical impacts of aging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in inter-professional Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) as a geriatric assessor
  • Complete clinical triage for new referrals and gather data within all domains of CGA
  • Provide clinical care and consultation services to improve and/or maintain activities of daily living for frail older adults and seniors
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Registration with CAOT (Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists) or OSOT (Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists) an asset
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two to three (2-3) years' working experience in the field
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and skill working with individuals with various types of dementia, delirium, mental health, addictions, responsive behaviours, other neurological conditions, and those who experience an acute behavioural change
  • Experience and knowledge of working therapeutically with geriatric populations an asset
