Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in our Downtown Eastside health clinic, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
About the Role
This is a regular part-time position, working 0.50 FTE. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to support patients' physical and emotional needs. You will also communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
- Current basic cardiac life support certification.
- One year of recent, related experience working in an urban health setting, including experience with addiction, HIV/AIDS, or indigenous patient populations.
