Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Specialist to join our team. As an Application Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing HMI displays using the latest industry standards, configuring SCADA databases, and developing customer reports using Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services, and other reporting tools.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop HMI displays using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  2. Configure and optimize SCADA databases for efficient data management.
  3. Develop and implement customer reports using Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services, and other reporting tools.
  4. Develop software solutions for project customizations, including customer enhancements, communication protocols to field devices, scripts, calculated points, and corporate interfaces.
  5. Provide on-site support for system testing, commissioning, and cutover, including debugging solutions.
  6. Perform bug fixing and maintenance on established products.
  7. Contribute to the development of product documentation, including user-level and internal documentation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. New grad to three years of relevant experience in industrial automation, SCADA systems, or a related field.
  3. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Knowledge of programming languages, including C++, C#, C# script, VB.NET, and PowerShell.
  5. Knowledge of SCADA systems, preferably Enterprise SCADA (OASyS), is desired but not mandatory.
  6. Familiarity with PLCs, field telemetry, and communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and EtherNet/IP, MQTT, and OPC.
  7. SQL database skills, including queries, table creation, programming, reporting, and administration.
  8. Familiarity with IT infrastructure and/or OT Security, including Active Directory, is also desirable.

Travel Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to travel up to 15% of the time on average to visit customers during the project design phase and later in the installation and commissioning phase.
