Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Specialist to join our team at NPA WorldWide. As an Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction within our installed base. You will perform installations, validations/verifications, and training on our clinical products, as well as provide on-going clinical support, customer education, and consult with customers regarding matters of regulatory requirements and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform instrument installations, validations/verifications, and training inside and outside your assigned territory as directed by the Clinical Applications Manager (CAM).
  • Coordinate the instrument go-live process with internal and customer stakeholders.
  • Within your assigned territory installed base, be responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction and base maintenance.
  • Provide customer clinical and technical support and education, instructing customers on proper operation and clinical utilization of our product offerings.
  • Achieve and maintain a high level of competency in technical knowledge of our products and services.
  • Strive to achieve similar competency regarding competitive systems.
  • Achieve/maintain a comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Be responsible for knowledge and competency regarding Data Management Systems (including pre-sales, and post-sales support activity).
  • Identify opportunities to further penetrate our installed base and grow revenue within assigned accounts.
  • May assist Sales Consultant with lead generation through pre and post-sales support.
  • Perform product demonstrations.
  • Participate in seminars, workshops, and convention exhibit activities as requested by Management.
  • Develop/maintain an account list and call on each according to required frequencies. Maintain aspects of Customer Databases and Property Accountability Documents.
  • Manage and control expense budget. Prepare forecasts and other monthly reports as required by management.
  • Be responsible for complying with all regulatory (including ISO) mandated policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by CAM.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (medical technology preferred, respiratory therapy, nursing, or related scientific discipline) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years related experience (clinical preferred).
  • Proven technical proficiency and knowledge.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Project management skills/experience desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at varying levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration, capable of executing in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

The candidate we seek will likely come with an educational foundation with Medical Laboratory Technology, clinical, or a related scientific discipline and has the potential to work in the field to perform product demonstrations (lunch and learns), product verification and installation, product support (on-site or remote), and validation primarily with cutting-edge technology in patient care that includes and not limited to blood gas testing, patient blood management systems, as well as whole blood instruments.
