Position Overview:

The Enterprise Architecture Lead will be responsible for steering and supporting enterprise architecture initiatives that shape the development and management of comprehensive solutions across the organization. This role encompasses a variety of projects, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), as well as shared infrastructure and application services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business and technical requirements into a coherent architectural framework that aligns with business objectives, ensuring thorough documentation of all architectural design and analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to establish a robust architectural foundation that accommodates future business needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assess business drivers and capabilities (both current and future) to determine necessary enterprise solution designs and modifications that align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Continuously monitor the existing solution portfolio to identify and address deficiencies stemming from aging technologies or misalignment with business requirements.
  • Assist product managers in making informed decisions regarding the lifecycle of products, including maintenance, updates, or retirement of services and systems.
  • Stay informed about emerging technology trends and their practical applications to support evolving business and operational models.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, and market developments to evaluate their potential impact on proposed solutions.
  • Facilitate the selection and evaluation of software product standards and services, including the design of both standard and custom software configurations.
  • Consult with development projects to ensure alignment with architectural standards and identify necessary modifications to accommodate architectural frameworks.
  • Lead the design and analysis of solutions architecture for specific business applications or technologies, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and standards.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for transitioning the enterprise solution portfolio from its current state to a desired future state.
  • Act as a consultant on a wide range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to achieve targeted business outcomes.
  • Create architectural designs that guide solution development across various products, services, and systems.
  • Work in conjunction with the project management office (PMO) to ensure that project execution aligns with established plans.
  • Provide consulting support to application architects to ensure project alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Deliver essential documentation such as standard definitions, reference models, and architectural designs to support governance and assess the impact of technology investments.
  • Direct governance activities to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
  • Establish principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure alignment with the enterprise's architectural vision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in IT solution development, focusing on business and application architecture.
  • Exposure to diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
  • Strong understanding of strategic technology trends and their practical applications.
  • Familiarity with product management and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in developing architectural blueprints and strategies.
  • Proficient in delivering presentations to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture, including integration, network, and security.
  • Understanding of system development life cycle methodologies and IT service management principles.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and modeling languages like BPMN and ArchiMate.
