Job Summary:

The Software Architect will lead and oversee all design and technology decisions that impact Microsoft Services technology. They will be mandated to ensure that technology decisions are in line with JD Irving strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all design and technology decisions that impact Microsoft Services technology.
  • Ensure that technology decisions are in line with JD Irving strategy.
  • Work extensively with the JDI technologist to help facilitate and guide them through the creation and execution of their technology roadmaps lifecycle.
  • Provide Current State, Transition State, and Future State artifacts for application assets.
  • Provide expertise on application architecture principles, approaches, and best practices.
  • Provide leadership in application cost management by understanding cost drivers of applications and providing effective management techniques.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in Technology.
  • ~10+ years' hands-on technical experience with Microsoft Applications.
  • A continuous learner: acquiring new skills and software applications is second nature.
  • All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
