About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Supervisor to join our team at Freight Network Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our freight services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Collaborate with other work units or departments to ensure seamless execution of freight operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit detailed reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning of computer equipment and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work-related problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, coordinate work assignments, and review work progress.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and organize and maintain inventory.
  • Operational Logistics: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, ensuring efficient and effective freight operations.

Experience and Education
  • Education: Hold a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Possess 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
