Job Title: Resource & Outreach Administrator

Join the Ministry of Natural Resources as a Resource & Outreach Administrator and play a key role in promoting understanding and cooperation between Indigenous communities and the ministry's sustainable resource management programs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Indigenous communities, non-Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders to develop and implement resource management initiatives that benefit both communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and other stakeholders to promote understanding and cooperation in resource management.
  • Develop and implement resource management initiatives that benefit both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
  • Provide advice and support to Indigenous communities on resource management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform resource management decisions and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with stakeholders, including Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid class G driver's license or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and related social and economic issues.
  • Understanding of community development principles and the ability to promote and assist in the planning of Indigenous training initiatives and economic development opportunities.
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis to inform resource management decisions and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
