The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing dynamics, supervising installations, and investigating mechanical failures. They will also supervise technicians, review designs, and assess business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
  • Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems.
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies.
  • Develop risk management plans.
  • Leading/instructing groups.
Requirements:
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET).
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • SolidWorks software.
  • AutoCAD.
  • MS Windows.
  • MS Office.
  • MS Excel.
  • Primavera.
