**About the Role**

The University of Waterloo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Associate Director of Project Management Services. This role is a key component of the University's entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the successful candidate will play a critical part in supporting the growth and development of startups and entrepreneurs.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and deliver a range of activities and services to support entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey, including workshops, mentorship programs, and networking events.
  • Manage the selection, onboarding, evaluation, and graduation of founders into and out of the program, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
  • Establish partnerships and collaborations with external organizations to enhance the incubator's resources and network, fostering a vibrant and inclusive community of entrepreneurs and innovators.
  • Work closely with the spaces team to manage the incubator's facilities, resources, and operations, ensuring a conducive and supportive environment for entrepreneurs and startups.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and impact through metrics, feedback, and performance indicators, and continuously iterate and improve program offerings to meet the evolving needs of the entrepreneurial community.
  • Cultivate a strong network of entrepreneurs, innovators, and ecosystem stakeholders through regular networking events, meetups, and collaboration opportunities.
  • Provide individualized support, coaching, and mentorship to incubator participants, helping them overcome challenges, set goals, and achieve milestones.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, startup lifecycle, and challenges faced by early-stage ventures, staying up-to-date on best practices in entrepreneurship education, mentorship, and community development.

**Requirements**

  • A minimum of five years of experience as the founder of a startup company that raised funding and successfully grew the business to engage in later phases of funding (seed+).
  • A deep understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, startup lifecycle, and challenges faced by early-stage ventures.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of best practices in entrepreneurship education, mentorship, and community development.
