Job Summary:

The Ambassador will be responsible for communicating the value and functionality of the Work in Manitoba job portal to Manitoba businesses and job seekers. This will involve generating engagement with the portal through in-person and virtual outreach activities, as well as providing administrative support to the EDW Talent Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an ambassador for the Work in Manitoba job portal, the Province of Manitoba, and EDW, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.
  • Conduct research for suitable events to participate in and explore learning opportunities for EDW Talent Team members.
  • Operational administration of the Work in Manitoba job portal, including managing day-to-day inquiries from employers and job seekers.
  • Maintain all databases, files, and associated documentation related to engagement events.
  • Deliver speeches and presentations about Work in Manitoba at events, meetings, and webinars.
  • Compile digital assets for virtual job fairs.
  • Collect business leads through onsite networking with exhibit booth employers.
  • Conduct onsite surveys, evaluate shows, obtain feedback, and tabulate results.
  • Schedule and deliver product demos, including assisting in posting jobs for employers as needed.
  • Transport and assemble booth display at events while properly adhering to and executing event commitments and contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal EDW departments to maintain reporting metrics and coordinate with Marketing Team to develop necessary marketing assets.
  • Provide administrative support to EDW Talent Team as required.

  • Work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong judgement to know when and how to ask for support or flag potential issues before they manifest.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Manitoba and Canada.
Education/Experience:
  • Eligible to work in Canada required.
  • Pursuit or completion of a degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or Business Administration is required.
  • Computer literacy/proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Demonstrated track record of strategic business development, sales, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience with utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or job-matching platforms is an asset.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to handle work activity involving loads of 5kg but less than 10kg.
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
  • French language skills are an asset.
  • Bilingualism/multilingualism is an asset.
