Human Resources Co-op Student

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our Human Resources Department as an Administrative Support role. In this position, you will provide administrative support and compliance to our department's policies and procedures through effective communication and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with employees, supervisors, and managers to assist in identifying and resolving work issues and concerns.
  • Assist in coordinating the Martinrea Orientation Model Program for all temporary and full-time employees.
  • Complete necessary administration to ensure employees are entered into the HR Systems accordingly.
  • Drive employee onboarding activities, including onboarding plans and job-specific training plans.
  • Assist with and maintain communication boards and job descriptions.
  • Participate in employee engagement events and oversee employee committees when applicable.
  • Perform general clerical duties, such as copying, scanning, and filing business documents.
  • Assist with staffing forecasting, interview, and hiring processes.
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable codes and company policies.

Working Conditions:

This role will be based in an office environment with occasional visits to the production floor. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
