Key Responsibilities

  • Presentations and Reporting
    • Develop and maintain high-impact presentations for Senior-level Executive audiences to drive decisive action on strategic recommendations and ensure strict adherence to established policies and processes at the enterprise level.
  • Strategic Initiatives
    • Support the Global Compliance & AML leadership team and other cross-functional teams to orchestrate strategic initiatives and ensure meticulous execution as required.
  • Team Events and Partnerships
    • Lead large-scale team events, both domestically and internationally, to strengthen team cohesion and uphold company culture.
    • Foster and sustain strategic partnerships with external entities, in alignment and fulfillment of the department's strategic vision.
  • Process Efficiency and Risk Management
    • Continuously seek methods to enhance process efficiency through automation and standardization.
    • Comprehend and integrate the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture into daily activities and decision-making processes.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • University degree in Business is desirable.
    • 2+ years of experience in strategic roles in banking/financial services.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint.
    • A keen eye for presentation design and the ability to distill complex concepts and analyses into clear, easy-to-understand presentations.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
    • Able to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
    • Experienced in developing reports and communications for an executive audience.
