Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscaping Labourer to join our team at John Dick Landscaping and Lawn Care. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, maintaining gardens and lawns, and performing various tasks related to landscape maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod, seeding, and planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Maintain gardens and lawns, including weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Cut grass and rake and collect refuse.
  • Remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including backhoes, chain saws, and small engine equipment.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including tractors and mowers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Working Conditions
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment, including handling heavy loads and working at heights.
  • Use personal protective equipment, including steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
