About the Opportunity
As a vital member of the Ta7lnew̓ás Education, Employment and Training Department, reporting directly to the Learning Center Team Leader, the Adult Dogwood Education Instructor will be responsible for developing engaging curriculum and lesson plans for academic ABE classes within a self-paced, multi-level, community-based setting. The ideal candidate will possess experience teaching in community environments, utilizing an asset-based approach to instruction. A strong understanding of Indigenous and decolonized teaching methodologies, coupled with a trauma-informed lens, is essential for this role.
This position demands the ability to collaborate effectively with First Nation partners and demonstrates proficiency in working with students who have diverse needs, encompassing academic, personal/familial, and community challenges.
