Chemistry Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Instructor to join our team at Vancouver Community College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching students in an assigned field of study using a diverse set of instruction methods and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and provide assessments of students' progress.
- Teach students using a diverse and systematic plan of lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, shop sessions, seminars, case studies, field assignments, and independent or group projects.
- Prepare, administer, and mark papers, tests, exams, and other assessments to monitor and evaluate students' progress.
- Provide individualized or group tutorial or remedial instruction to students who require it.
- Maintain effective stewardship of classroom facilities, equipment, materials, software, and tools.
- Participate in departmental and college meetings and events, and consult with other College departments as needed.
- Master's degree in chemistry from an accredited institution.
- One or more years of relevant science or related teaching experience, preferably with adults.
- Education and/or teaching experience within the last 5 years.
- Completion of the Provincial Instructor's Diploma or equivalent, in a timely fashion after employment commences.
- Dedication to principles of adult education.
- Evidence of commitment to team and personal professional growth.
