Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Waterfront Toronto is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing human resources and payroll services, leading recruitment efforts, and administering payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including managing recruitment files and providing guidance to the Human Resources Assistant.
  • Administer payroll on a semi-monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor and maintain HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare quarterly dashboards and HR reports.
  • Support the implementation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs.
  • Manage all HR policies, including revisions and new policy creation.
  • Lead the learning and development function, including coordinating with vendors for training.
  • Support the Vice President in project work, focusing on succession planning, compensation benchmarking, and workforce planning.
  • Support the performance management process and annual performance reviews.
Requirements:
  • 5 years' progressive experience in human resources, preferably in a non-unionized environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading recruitment efforts.
  • Thorough working knowledge of human resources policies, programs, and applicable legislation.
  • Exceptional ability to maintain confidentiality and handle matters with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks, and multi-task.
