Position Overview

As a Retail Operations Supervisor at VanGuard Flooring Inc, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations within our retail environment. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment of 35 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role is necessary.
Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to sales staff.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members.
  • Manage inventory and order merchandise as needed.
  • Create and maintain employee work schedules.
  • Drive sales by actively selling merchandise.
  • Compile and analyze reports related to sales performance, inventory management, and personnel issues.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and supply chain challenges.
  • Supervise daily activities of staff and ensure efficient operations.
  • Handle cash management and oversee payroll processes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
  • Oversee the activities of office and volunteer staff.
Supervision

This role involves supervising a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in MS Outlook is required for effective communication and scheduling.

Transportation

Public transportation options are readily available for commuting to the workplace.

Physical Requirements

The position involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to distinguish between colors being essential.
