The Role:

This position is focused on client interaction, requiring industry knowledge and a commitment to providing excellent service while accurately processing orders in our computer system.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Leverage product knowledge to suggest alternatives to customers when their initial requests cannot be fulfilled; promote additional sales whenever feasible. Engage in ongoing product training to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Collaborate with the Purchasing department to ensure they are informed about order timelines and notify them of large orders that may impact inventory levels. Organize customer orders for pickup at the counter and manage counter returns. Support warehouse operations with order picking, receiving, shipping, or inventory management as needed. Ensure the Counter Zone is restocked daily. Participate in counter promotions, prepare the showroom for counter events, and update monthly specials, including pricing and displays. Take part in pager duties and Saturday counter shifts as scheduled.

About You:

2-3 years of product knowledge experience in the Plumbing and/or HVAC industry. Strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to customer service to build and maintain beneficial relationships with suppliers and customers. Excellent organizational abilities to effectively prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of paperwork. Capability to achieve strategic goals and objectives with minimal supervision. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on results. Capacity to exercise sound judgment, assess the significance of situations, and respond appropriately. Proficient understanding of all areas of the ERP (Eclipse) systems. Competence in using standard office equipment, including computers, phones, copiers, and fax machines.
