Position Overview

Role Summary

The Royal Bank of Canada is transforming the way our Advisors engage with clients to provide exceptional customer service. We are collaborating with Salesforce to develop our advanced CRM Advisor Platform, designed to enhance the customer journey. We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to spearhead and implement testing strategies for our CRM initiatives. You will be part of a diverse and inclusive agile team focused on integrating RBC systems with Salesforce's Financial Services Cloud and Lightning platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee the Quality Engineering activities within the designated LAB, including the management of assigned QE Analysts.
  • Take ownership of the design, execution, and upkeep of extensive test coverage for Salesforce FSC-based products within the LAB, including the implementation of test automation.
  • Promote quality and advocate for defect prevention and early detection by adopting best practices in quality engineering.
  • Facilitate complex group discussions and conduct information-gathering sessions with various IT teams and offshore partners.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of domain knowledge, business logic, processes, data flows, and rules relevant to the scope, alongside hands-on test case creation and execution.
  • Review testing artifacts to ensure adherence to QE processes and best practices, utilizing service virtualization and Salesforce mock tools to enable early testing.
  • Communicate effectively with teams located across Canada.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with over 5 years of experience in a Senior Quality Engineering position, demonstrating a successful track record in developing and executing test suites for Salesforce integration projects.
  • Previous experience in testing Salesforce Financial Services Cloud implementations, ideally within a financial institution or large organization.
  • Extensive experience in crafting complex end-to-end test scenarios for intricate use cases and business requirements, involving multiple data sources and system interfaces.
  • Technical proficiency with APIs, events, logs, and batch processing.
  • Strong technical foundation across various environments (cloud, distributed systems, business workflows, web services/APIs, SQL, and non-SQL databases) with a proven ability to navigate complex challenges in cross-functional projects.

Desirable:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator is preferred, with experience using the Salesforce myTrailhead platform.
