Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and post journal entries, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances, financial statements, and management reports.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor statements.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, time management, adaptability.
