Laboratory Analyst

Position Overview
As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be part of a values-driven organization that fosters innovation and creativity. You will engage in various analytical tasks that contribute to solving complex challenges in our environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct digestion and extraction processes for a variety of samples in accordance with established methods and protocols;
- Perform necessary sample processing, including screening and homogenization, while adhering to safety standards;
- Execute sample concentration, clean-up, and submission procedures for comprehensive analyses;
- Organize and manage work schedules and planning activities effectively;
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory activities;
- Monitor and manage inventory of laboratory supplies and consumables;
- Assist in training new staff members;
- Review and provide feedback on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Ensure compliance with SOP requirements and maintain rigorous quality assurance and quality control standards;
- Follow established safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment;
Candidate Profile:
- Proficient in English communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy;
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment;
- Highly organized with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to undertake diverse tasks;
- Excellent ability to understand and follow detailed instructions;
Required Qualifications:
- A degree or technical diploma in chemistry or a related scientific field;
- Experience of 6 months to 1 year in a fast-paced laboratory or production setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity for performing intricate tasks;
- Ability to stand for extended periods;
- Capability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly;
- Willingness to work in environments with various odors;
- Compliance with safety regulations, including being clean-shaven for respirator use;
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
