Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leadership Societies Development Manager to join our team at ROME GROUP. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding donors and prospects at the Leadership Giving levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donor Engagement: Manage a portfolio of Leadership Giving Society donors, meeting with them regularly and working with them to achieve their charitable giving goals.
  • Donor Management: Maintain accurate donor records using a proprietary database for ROME GROUP.
  • Solicitation and Stewardship: Ensure all current donors, lapsed donors and prospects are solicited appropriately and accurately.
  • Program Development: Create and implement programs and events that advance the programmatic and department fundraising goals.
  • Donor Step-up Programs: Responsible for managing our donor step-up programs for Leadership Society donors who intend to become members of the de Tocqueville Society and need time and support to achieve their goal.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required in related areas of position responsibilities.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience and proven results working with individual donors.
  • Donor Relationships: Experience working with donors capable of making gifts at the $5,000 – $12,000 levels.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with tax smart giving tools, planned giving programs and vehicles.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, critical thinking skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and proficient with donor databases.
