About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Lab Patient Service Technician to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our mobile laboratory team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and specimen collection services in various settings, including private homes, commercial facilities, and long-term care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize daily schedules of visits to facilities and private residences to collect specimens as per physicians' requests, planning routes according to courier times, specimen integrity, and required travel time.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
  • Collect and deliver specimens to designated labs for testing.
  • Accession, spin, separate, and prepare specimens for transport to reference labs as required.
  • Book patient appointments, request required information from patients, explain the specimen collection process, and ensure patients have followed necessary test protocols prior to specimen collection.
  • Liaise with doctors, facility staff, and CCAC staff regarding patient problems, changes in scheduling, specimen collection procedures, and other matters.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a vehicle.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check.
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
