Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lab Patient Technician to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for the specimen collection process, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that our laboratory testing services are delivered with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, ensuring that they understand the specimen collection process and any necessary test protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings with precision and accuracy.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, test results, and specimen collection data.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure seamless specimen collection and processing.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
