We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Specialist to join our team at Summitearth. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will play a critical role in providing technical guidance and oversight on environmental site assessments and reclamation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance on spills and environmental impact assessments, including containment and wildlife management.
- Oversee and input on reclamation site assessments, wellsite, facility, and pipeline surface reclamation projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Supervise and mentor field and office staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Analyze and interpret data, providing accurate and detailed reporting.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and third-party stakeholders.
- Participate in company and client-specific health and safety programs, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- University degree or diploma in environmental engineering, agrology, conservation and reclamation, or geoscience.
- 5+ years of consulting or industry experience in environmental site assessment and reclamation.
- Registration as a member (professional or in-training) in good standing of a recognized applicable Professional Association.
- Proficient with Alberta and Saskatchewan regulations and guidelines related to surface reclamation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project team environment.
