Sessional Lecturer in Tsilhqot'in Language Studies

Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is seeking applications for a sessional lecturer role at our Williams Lake campus, situated in the picturesque Cariboo region. This position focuses on FNLG First Nations Language Structure & Analysis, specifically Tsilhqot'in.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will contribute to the academic environment by delivering high-quality instruction in Tsilhqot'in language structure. This role involves:
- Developing and implementing course materials that align with the curriculum.
- Facilitating engaging classroom discussions and activities.
- Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance the learning experience.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience as a Tsilhqot'in language educator.
- Advanced proficiency in Tsilhqot'in, encompassing comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing.
- A Master's Degree or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in post-secondary teaching is preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
