POSITION SUMMARY

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a qualified individual to join our academic team as a Sessional Lecturer in the Department of Environment, Culture and Society. This role will focus on the course ARCH Exploring Archaeology, contributing to our commitment to excellence in education and research.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging lectures and facilitating discussions that enhance student learning.
  • Developing course materials that reflect current trends and research in archaeology and related fields.
  • Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborating with faculty members to enhance the educational experience within the department.
QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should possess:

  • A PhD in Anthropology or a closely related field, or be a PhD candidate.
  • A Master's Degree accompanied by relevant professional experience in Indigenous Studies, community-based research, applied anthropology, archaeology, or ethnographic research.
  • Demonstrated teaching proficiency and expertise in the area of specialization.
