Role Overview:

As a Management Consultant, your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness. Specifically, you will:
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies and recommend policies to optimize program and portfolio outcomes. Deliver client-focused, value-driven consulting services across a variety of municipal programs and initiatives. Conduct policy analysis and provide strategic guidance to management teams regarding organizational services and operations. Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders to define project scopes and objectives. Offer innovative solutions and identify methods for analyzing complex planning challenges, providing expert advice as necessary. Engage in research and analysis, presenting findings to clients and stakeholders for strategic dialogue. Assist management in evaluating and formulating pragmatic solutions from an objective standpoint. Support project steering committees and lead cross-functional teams and working groups. Assume temporary leadership roles during transitional phases of organizational change initiatives. Contribute to the design and implementation of strategic organizational frameworks and effective governance systems. Evaluate and analyze organizational effectiveness issues, preparing confidential reports on program delivery and management practices. Lead and support teams in developing corporate policies and assessing operational options to enhance management functions. Research and review emerging technology management tools, advising on their applicability to organizational needs. Encourage organizational learning and facilitate change through comprehensive service delivery initiatives. Foster collaborative relationships within and outside the organization, maintaining connections with professionals to ensure up-to-date knowledge and practices.

Essential Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Public Administration, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field. Significant experience in providing strategic consulting and tailoring communications for diverse audiences. Background in management consulting, strategic planning, or business analysis within the public sector or related industries. Experience in application management and lifecycle processes. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in research methodologies. Capability to present complex information clearly while understanding detailed interdependencies. Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills, alongside strong organizational and time management abilities. Proven ability to build and maintain effective consulting relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders.
