Work EnvironmentOur services are focused on addressing various socio-economic challenges including housing, nutrition, and financial support. The role is primarily based in a group home setting, with responsibilities extending to the employer's or client's residence. Staff accommodation is provided, and relocation expenses are covered by the employer, making this opportunity ideal for those willing to work in a rural area.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct administrative and office-related tasks.
- Design and implement specialized rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs.
- Facilitate life skills workshops to empower clients.
- Evaluate clients' skill strengths and development requirements.
- Coordinate and deliver specific community services.
- Manage housekeeping and food preparation tasks.
- Resolve conflicts and supervise clients in group homes and halfway houses.
- Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social events.
While no formal education is required, candidates are encouraged to obtain relevant certifications such as:
- Behaviour Management Certification
- Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada Course
- Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
- Mandt System Training
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
- Medication Administration Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
All candidates must undergo a criminal record check and an Adult Abuse Registry check to ensure the safety of our clients.
