About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic HR Business Partner to join our team at Assent. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business leaders and teams to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic People and Business Advisor: Provide expert advice and guidance to our business leaders on HR-related matters, including talent management, team member relations, and engagement.
  2. Coaching and Development: Offer ongoing coaching, support, and insight to our leaders to enable informed decision-making and maximize retention, engagement, and productivity.
  3. Business Growth and Partnerships: Develop stronger partnerships with our leaders to drive business growth, using your knowledge of Assent's business and general business concepts to understand their objectives and develop people strategies.
  4. Organizational Structure and Career Development: Support our leaders in evolving their organizational structure, roles, career paths, and objectives to maximize the execution of their business plan.
  5. HR Insights and Recommendations: Provide recommendations in all areas of HR that enhance team and Assentee success, based on market trends, industry best practices, business knowledge, and compliance with security controls, company policies, and relevant legislation.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively across Employee Experience to ensure timely delivery of recruitment and selection of top talent, and execute on talent development and impact programs.
  7. Culture and Feedback: Support a culture of continuous feedback and learning by actively participating in and supporting performance feedback programs, Assentee onboarding, training, and development.
  8. Talent Development and Workforce Planning: Provide HR insights to help create and drive talent development strategic priorities in assigned client groups, including workforce planning and talent acquisition and leader and employee development.
  9. Engagement and Retention: Evaluate talent trends and team member feedback pulse surveys and open dialogue sessions to develop recommendations for improving engagement, productivity, and retention.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional with the following qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of relevant HR experience, with at least 8+ years as a Business Partner supporting Senior Executive and/or C-level leaders, preferably in a rapidly growing global tech organization.
  2. Bachelor's degree/Post Secondary Education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A CHRP or CHRL certification would be considered an asset.
  3. Experience identifying and building strategic cross-functional partnerships across all levels of the business to understand challenges.
  4. Passion for high-quality service to the business and delivering exceptional support.
  5. Analytically driven with experience working with people and business metrics to guide decisions.
  6. Creative thinker with a focus on innovation and learning.
  7. Persistent and patient, with the propensity to stay calm and reasonable under pressure.
  8. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.
  9. Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
