About the Role

Are you seeking an opportunity to enhance your accounting expertise in a significant work environment that supports innovation and exploration? As a Senior Accountant, you will utilize accounting principles to evaluate financial data and generate financial reports. You will oversee the management of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax obligations, and revenue. Your role will involve compiling and analyzing financial data to document transactions, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy. You will be responsible for preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other relevant accounting schedules and reports. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with accounting and auditing policies and procedures, assisting management with various functions including general ledger support and account reconciliations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with typically 6 or more years of pertinent experience
  • Advanced education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel with the ability to manipulate, summarize, and analyze large datasets
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects
  • A commitment to process improvement and efficiency, including participation in testing new accounting systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or in progress
  • Proficiency with SAP software
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFAR, and CAS regulations
  • Experience in public accounting and related fields
  • Background in financial management planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$79,000 - $108,989.33
