Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team at CB Canada. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and business functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, monthly financial reporting, small payroll, accounts payable, government reporting, coding and data entry, banking, cash control, analyzing revenues, and preparing year-end working papers for external accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and balance financial statements, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals and prepayments
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Manage small payroll, including processing payrolls and preparing payroll reports
  • Process accounts payable, including invoicing and payment processing
  • Prepare and submit government reports, including tax returns and other regulatory filings
  • Code and enter financial data, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Manage banking and cash control, including reconciliations and account maintenance
  • Analyze revenues and prepare year-end working papers for external accountants

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of previous accounting experience, with 2 or more years of experience in full-cycle accounting
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
