Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Regal Rexnord. As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with Free Trade Agreement (FTA) requirements, including USMCA and CUSMA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications: Determine and maintain accurate HTS classifications for parts, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with FTA requirements.
  • Certificates of Origin: Request, update, and maintain certificates of origin from suppliers in the business ERP system.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Analysis: Analyze existing and newly released BOMs for FTA eligibility.
  • FTA-Related Certificates: Issue FTA-related certificates to customers as required.
  • Training and Compliance: Train associates on FTA-related procedures and policies as required.
  • Trade Compliance Records: Ensure site compliance to USMCA/CUSMA and other FTA-related regulations (Corporate and Federal).
  • Trade Compliance Audit: Conduct annual trade compliance audit per corporate policy and standard.
  • Procedure Development: Create, update, and manage trade compliance and logistics-related end-to-end procedures and work instructions.
  • Logistics Support: Be the primary point of contact for logistics-related activities for the site.
  • Investigation and Troubleshooting: Investigate or troubleshoot all non-compliant and detained shipments of goods and determine appropriate corrective action leading to final throughput to its destination.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of manufacturing, design engineering environment, or similar experience.
  • Trade Compliance Experience: 1-3 years of trade compliance or logistics experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP platforms.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Teamwork: Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple teams geographically dispersed.
  • Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
