Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments and leadership within the healthcare team.
  • Facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective interventions to address those needs.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as needed, and provide education to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Recent, related mental health experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients, respond to a variety of simultaneous demands, and maintain concentration in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses and Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, with a focus on providing patient-centered care.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
