We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the quality assurance and machining processes within our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of all machined and fabricated components to verify adherence to technical drawings, operational processes, and client specifications.
- Continuously monitor ongoing production activities to identify and mitigate potential non-conformance issues.
- Evaluate items received from subcontractors before they are approved for customer delivery or progression to subsequent manufacturing stages.
- Develop and maintain essential quality documentation, including compliance certificates and dimensional reports tailored to customer needs.
- Manage a calibration system for all measuring instruments owned by the company and its employees.
- Provide assistance and guidance to staff regarding production challenges related to drawing interpretation and measurement techniques.
- Foster a culture of high standards, efficiency, and safety within the workplace.
- Operate measuring devices in accordance with established protocols.
- Detect discrepancies in parts and ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.
- Prepare and oversee non-conformance reports in line with established quality policies and procedures.
- Support the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of ISO 9001 standards and practices.
- Engage with clients and suppliers concerning quality matters.
- Be ready to provide updates to management on project statuses and relay critical information to team members.
- Assist in training both new and existing personnel on the proper use of measuring tools and adherence to ISO Quality Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a machining and fabrication environment or within the engineering division of a manufacturing entity specializing in heavy machining.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and accurately utilizing various measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of machinery, equipment, and material tolerances.
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality control practices and standards.
