The Opportunity
Manulife is seeking a seasoned program director to join our Canada Data Office team and drive strategic initiatives forward. As a key member of our data organization, you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of our programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to program managers and teams.
- Develop and implement program management best practices across the Canada Data Office.
- Define and maintain a program management playbook, incorporating industry best practices and Manulife standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize program initiatives and ensure effective resource allocation.
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive program success.
- Identify and mitigate program risks, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of delivering complex programs.
- Strong understanding of data technology solutions and big data technologies, including cloud platforms.
- Excellent financial management and analytical skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including program managers, team members, and external partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate program status and progress to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
