Director of Technology and Information Services

New Westminster Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology and Information Services to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the district's technology strategy and ensuring the effective use of technology to support teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the district's vision and goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Technology and Information Services team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality services.
- Collaborate with district leaders and staff to identify and prioritize technology needs, and develop solutions to address these needs.
- Manage the district's technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and agreements that meet the district's needs.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and advise the district on the potential benefits and risks of new technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technology leadership role, preferably in a public sector or large complex organization.
- Proven track record of successfully leading technology initiatives and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
