Job Summary

Vertex is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on heavy truck and trailer equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy truck and trailer equipment
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy-duty equipment
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed

Requirements

  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeymen certificate
  • Red Seal certification is considered an asset
  • 4-6 years' experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, preferably with semi-truck and trailer experience
  • Class 5 License with a clean drivers' abstract
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
