Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at I & P Heavy Duty Services Inc. as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting and repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to locate faults and malfunctions in mechanical units.
- Adjust and Repair or Replace Parts: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
- Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- Complete Reports and Records: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records.
- Coach and Instruct Apprentices: Coach and instruct apprentices in the trade, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification: Possess a valid Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
- Experience in Heavy Duty Mechanic: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty mechanic, with a focus on engine repair.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Physical Demands: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
