Position Overview:
As a key player in our organization, the Senior Manager of Maintenance and Facilities will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within a large-scale manufacturing environment. This role demands a proactive leader who can ensure that all facility systems are operating efficiently while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and expert guidance to senior management regarding all maintenance-related matters.
  • Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and availability, aligning with operational goals.
  • Oversee corrective and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring they are executed safely and effectively to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Mentor and develop maintenance personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Manage capital projects within budget constraints, liaising with service providers and facilitating the integration of new technologies.
  • Enhance production efficiency by ensuring equipment reliability and availability, allocating resources effectively to support manufacturing operations.
  • Establish and monitor annual KPI objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party contractors, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of maintenance staff.
  • Ensure the sustainability of power and mechanical systems within the facilities at all times.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven expertise in managing equipment and facilities maintenance in a large-scale operation.
  • Post-secondary education in engineering or a related trade, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to achieving operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to employee health and safety practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
